All this week’s Netflix Originals (Available from 19th May 2017)

One of the great things about Netflix are their Netflix Originals – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round up of new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Wednesday evening with what will be available over the coming week starting the following Friday. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week long Netflix binge watch! Laerte-Se

Documentary following Laerte Coutinho, the Brazilian cartoonist who has decided to transition and live life as a woman. After a lifetime of living as a man, three children and three times married, Laerte discusses (in Portugese) her 60 years of life and her transition.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

The Keepers

Documentary following a group of women from Baltimore as they try and uncover the story behind the murder of Cathy Cesnik, a nun and teacher who was murdered in 1969. The case as yet remains unsolved and the women set out to expose the abuse by the leaders of the catholic church in the city at the time and explore the potential connection. Brought you by the people behind “Making a Murderer” and “Amanda Knox,” this seven episode, documentary series demands answers from a community that has refused to address the questions for nearly 50 years! Who killed Sister Cathy?!

Blame!

Brought to you by Netflix Asia,  “Blame!” is set in the very distant future where Killy, a young man must enter the ‘Megastructure’ aka the huge maze where any remaining human life resides, in order to save civilisation from ultimate destruction.

Hasan Minaj: Homecoming King

Hasan Minaj is a stand up comedian who has recently been in the spotlight after he delivered his speech at the White House Correspondents Dinner. He is a correspondent for the daily show on the Comedy Central Channel. In this his first stand up show he tackles immigration, family and equality with personal experiences from his US-Indian heritage as the basis for his routine.

 

“Hasan Minaj: Homecoming King” is available as a Stand-Up Comedy Special  from Tuesday 23rd May 2017.
