This Week’s New Releases on Netflix UK (13th April 2018)

Another week has passed and, in case you missed our social media feeds, we’re here to give you the run down on this week’s additions just in time for your weekend binge sessions. Here we will give you our top picks as well as a full list of everything added to the streaming service in the last week. So here are our top picks from this week’s additions on Netflix UK:

This week sees the return of the 1964 movie Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb which is oddly appropriate given current affairs… This satirical movie sees a US General overrule the President of the USA and launch a nuclear attack on Russia – it’s outrageous, it’s humourous, it’s dark – it’s satire at its best. You can read our review here. Another good film that returned this week was Anger Management starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. This comedy follows a gentle businessman who is forced to get anger management counseling; then, his therapist moves in who turns out to have anger issues of his own.

It’s been a good week for TV this week with the 5th and final season of Bates Motel arriving along with the brand new Netflix Original reboot of Lost in SpaceVictoria Wood: As Seen on TV has been the most popular addition this week – both series of the classic BBC sketch show are available.

Brilliant British comedian Greg Davis has his latest stand-up show on Netflix now in the form of Greg Davies: You Magnificent Beast. In it he discusses terrifying dates, manscaping disasters, his father’s pranks and more in a savagely funny stand-up special.

And, finally, for the younger ones this week is the second season of The Magic School Bus Rides Again and the classic 90’s cartoon series The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3.

For all the Netflix Originals added today you can read our separate post.
