Netflix’s adult animation anthology “Love, Death + Robots” will return for a second season on May 14th. Jennifer Yuh Nelson (“The Darkest Minds”, “Kung Fu Panda 2 & 3”) will be the supervising director and oversee the episodes of Volume 2. Volume 1 of the show launched back in March 2019 and was made up of 18 episodes that between 5 and 15 minutes in length and featuring a number of different styles: “a crazy variety of animation styles from around the world — everything from 2D to photorealistic 3D CGI.”
The eight episodes of volume two are made up of a blend of styles and stories ranging from violent comedy to existential philosophy.
Love, Death + Robots is a collection of animated short stories that span the science fiction, fantasy, horror and comedy genres. With a bold approach to each story’s narrative, episodes are intended to be easy to watch and hard to forget.
