Here we will give you our top picks as well as a full list of everything added to Netflix in the UK in the last week. So here are our top picks from this week’s additions on Netflix UK:

It’s been a fairly quiet week this week but there are still some great additions to Netflix UK. A popular addition this week has been a new festive Original film Father Christmas Is Back. Starring Elizabeth Hurley, John Cleese, Kelsey Grammer and more, the film sees four feuding sisters meeting up over Christmas in their Yorkshire manor house where they get a crash course in family togetherness when their long-lost father shows up. In the British romantic drama Ordinary Love , a couple’s lifelong devotion is put to the test after after a breast cancer diagnosis – will they survive the year of adversity? Set in 1920s New York, Passing tells the story of two childhood friends, both with mixed-race parents – one has been ‘passing’ as white all their life the other has been ‘passing’ as black – both with a very different circle of friends. Their renewed acquaintance ignites a mutual obsession that threatens both of their carefully constructed realities.

Other films worth mentioning this week include the new Original action film Red Notice. The film stars Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot as two rival criminals who end up teaming with the FBI’s top profiler (Dwayne Johnson) for a daring, comedic and action-packed heist. Finally for films we have the horror film The Curse of La Llorona. The film follows a troubled single mother in 1970s Los Angeles who discovers some folktales are true when a dark entity with sinister intentions pursues her children.

For TV this week we have season 1 of the British hidden camera show Trigger Happy TV which sees Dom Joly performing various bizarre sketches to an often baffled public. Channel four sitcom Dead Pixels follows three friends who obsess over a fantasy video game to the point of neglecting any personal and professional obligations that interfere with their gameplay. A new animated series based on League of Legends started this week with the first three episodes of Arcane. The series follows two sisters who fight on rival sides of a war between magic technologies and clashing convictions. Finally for TV we have season 2 of comedy series Beaver Falls about a group of British teens who head to America to help at a summer camp.

Documentaries this week include the new natural history series Animal – a four part show that follows the lives of eight animal families. The Last Forest is a Brazilian film that uses a mixture of dramatisation and documentary to depict the Indigenous Yanomami tribe’s way of life and their struggle to preserve it. In Griff’s Great Australian Rail Trip comedian Griff Rhys Jones travels across Australia by train, encountering the outback, the coast and everything in between.
