One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge-watch! This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

Love Netflix Originals? Well here’s our list of ‘Top Picks’ for this week. Check out the trailers below and let us know what you’re looking forward to this week -a full list of this week’s additions and regional availability at the end of the post. Netflix aren’t always that clear about geographical availability so please bear with us as we try to be as precise as possible about where Netflix Originals will be available.

Country Comfort

Country Singer Bailey finds herself out on her ear when her struggling band decides they need a refresh. She stumbles into an unlikely job as a nanny to five kids who lost their mother a couple of years prior. With zero experience looking after children and the family having nine previous nannies, Bailey must find ways to engage with the kids through her music and unorthodox childcaring tactics. In an almost modern-day ‘Sound of Music’ sort of way, it turns out the five kids and their good-looking cowboy dad are quite musical. Bailey is certainly no Julie Andrews but has she finally found the band she’s been looking for? Starring Katharine McPhee and Eddie Cibrian.

Available globally from Friday 19th March 2021

Sky Rojo

Gina, Coral and Wendy grasp the chance to escape the life they have been living working at Club Las Novias dancing for and sleeping with men they despise but club owner and pimp Romeo has other ideas. A chase ensues as he instructs his men Moisés and Christian to track down the women and return them to him. The three women must do whatever it takes to survive in this action-packed series. From the makers of ‘Money Heist.’ Starring Yany Prado, Verónica Sánchez, Lali Espósito, Asier Etxeandia, Miguel Ángel and Enric Auquer.

Available from Friday 19th March 2021

Seaspiracy

The ecological crisis starts with the ocean in this documentary from director and cinematographer Ali Tabrizi. Delivering a shocking insight into the fishing industries and the impact over-fishing is having on the environment, the film is hard-hitting. Not everybody is impressed by the film though. In fact, the US ‘National Fisheries Institute’ (NFI) has launched a campaign against what it calls “Vegan Propaganda” on Netflix even stating they; “…have requested Netflix create a ‘propaganda’ tab on its website for ‘films based on exaggeration, fabrications and conspiracy theories.” in a recent press release. Let’s see if that becomes a thing then. We’re pretty certain Paltrow’s works would fit snugly into that category, for sure.

Available from Wednesday 24th March 2021

Who Killed Sara

Álex and his family were shocked to lose his sister Sara all those years ago but now after serving time wrongly accused of her murder he is looking for answers to what really happened to his sister that fateful day. In searching for Sara’s killer he discovers some surprising revelations and soon realises this is so much bigger than anything he ever expected. Starring Diana Mercado Armenta, Juan Carlos Remolina, Manolo Cardona and Ana Lucia Dominguez.

Available from Wednesday 24th March 2021

Caught By A Wave

A young Italian couple falls in love during the summer of a mutual love of the ocean. Teenagers Sara and Lorenzo want nothing more than the happy ever after they deserve. Sara, however, hides from Lorenzo that she is suffering from a life-long condition. She didn’t want him to feel sorry for her. Now the couple must navigate their emotions as well as the thoughts and feelings of those around them as they are dictated too about the situation. Is their love strong enough? If you like ugly-crying into a cushion then we suspect this is the one for you. Everyone loves a good weepy every now and again, right?
