We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

Love Netflix Originals? Well here’s our list of ‘Top Picks’ for this week. Check out the trailers below and let us know what you’re looking forward to this week -full list of this week’s additions and regional availability at the end of the post. Netflix aren’t always that clear about geographical availability so please bear with us as we try to be as precise as possible about where Netflix Originals will be available.

Barbarians

Fans of ‘The Last Kingdom’ and ‘Vikings’ on Netflix will no doubt soon be hooked on this new German series ‘Barbarians’. The year is just 9AD, the year of the true historic battle of the ‘Teutoburg Forest’ also known as the ‘Varian Disaster’. During the battle, Germanic tribes ambushed three Roman legions. The Romans, led by Publius Quinctilius Varus; the Germans led by Arminius, a Germanic officer. The history tells that victory was declared over the Romans and they never attempted an attack on German land again. The show is set to be true to the story’s historic narrative with a little room for artistic flair. Expect warfare, blood, anger and ‘Braveheart-Esque’ face painting.

Available globally from Friday 23rd October 2020

Move

This ‘moving’ documentary (see what we did there – ‘moving’ – nevermind) examines dance in many of its forms throughout the world and how it can unite people on a global or an individually relational level. The French documentary is formed with interviews from those who have seen changes in the world of dance and those who wish to be the change for dance in the future.

Available from Friday 23rd October 2020

Over the Moon

One for the kiddie winks – ‘Over the Moon‘ is the beautiful story of a young girl, desperate to prove the existence of the ‘moon goddess’, a character her father has told her about in their storytimes. In a bid to revive her father’s belief, she and her beloved bunny ‘Bungee’ using their STEM skills, build a rocket ship to travel to the moon. What happens next – a whole new world!! ‘Believing is everything’.

Guillermo Vilas: Settling the Score

Tennis champion Guillermo Vilas is the subject of this documentary as it looks at the 40-years of outcry from the tennis player about Vilas being moved from the top spot in global tennis and the investigation into it throughout the seventies by sports journalist ‘Eduado Puppo’.

Holidate

The Christmas movie drop has begun! Emma Roberts stars alongside Luke Bracey in this seasonal rom-com of singletons that are fed up of being lonely at their work and family gatherings every holiday season. Agreeing to be each other’s date ‘just for the holidays’ can surely only lead to one thing, right? Love em or hate em, the cheesy Christmas movies are back!
