One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge-watch! This fast-paced French-language series unpacks a heavy-duty gangland scenario between the professionals and the hustlers. Medhi is a thief, a good one. He and apprentice thief Liana must work together with their associates to find his niece amidst a drug lord-induced turf war. Starring Sami Bouajila and Sam Kalidi.

Midnight Mass

Set on Crockett Island, quite possibly the quietest, uneventful place in the world until a new preacher comes to town at the same time as a disgraced young man returns home, dealing with his penance for his past. As the preacher takes up his new role, the isolated community begin to see miracles take place before their very eyes but with good comes evil and the townspeople also experience terrifying events that leave them scared for the future. This Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) limited series horror stars Hamish Linklater and Zach Gilford.

The Starling

Moving on from horror this deeply moving story lands this week starring Melissa McCarthy and Chris O’Dowd. The pair play Lily and Jack, a loving couple who find themselves thrown into turmoil at the loss of their child. As Jack comes to terms with the loss as an inpatient, Lily is left to deal with the situation at home alone. That is until she finds companionship in an unexpected character who seems intent on being in her life. Their journey through grief is bound to impact anyone so, tissues at the ready! The film also stars Kevin Kline as Lily’s unusual therapist and friend.

Britney vs Spears

You’d have to have been living under a rock not to have heard about the Britney Spears conservatorship at some point over the past decade and lately, there has been a light shone on the situation as Britney has fought to bring an end to her father’s control. With her rights completely controlled by her father Jamie and his team whilst they simultaneously earned an income from her work, the controversy of the situation has been the subject of the courts and the media for some time. This documentary looks at the journey and the current situation as Britney fights Mr Spears for custody of her own life.

No One Gets Out Alive

Another horror this week, this time by way of a movie about a haunted house. When Ambar comes to America from Mexico to start a new life, this isn’t what she expected. Moving into a boarding house in Clevland she soon discovers the creepiness isn’t just in the decor and sacrifice becomes survival! Alongside her new housemates, she is left fighting for her life as the house unravels secrets and forbids her from leaving. Starring Cristina Rodlo as Ambar.
