All this week’s Netflix Originals (Available from 29th January 2021)

One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge-watch! An attack is launched on a transport vehicle as it moves dangerous prisoners. When the driver finds himself trapped between a rock and a hard place he locks himself in the back of the vehicle with those he is responsible for. Now he must defend himself from both sides if he is to survive this night of terror.

The Dig

Britain is on the brink of World War II and Mrs Pretty is curious about the mounds of earth that lay on her land. She enlists the help of a local man and he gets to work uncovering what would turn out to be the biggest intact find in Medieval Europe. Based on the true story of Edith Pretty the Suffolk landowner who had a passion for excavation after growing up and travelling with her father. Starring Carey Mulligan, Ralph Fiennes, Lily James, Johnny Flynn, Ben Chaplin, and Ken Scott.

Finding O’Hana

This week, family film ‘Finding O’Hana’ drops on to our screens and what a treat. A feel-good movie (who doesn’t need ‘feel good’ right now?) Typical teenage brother doesn’t want to spend his vacation with family away from home, younger sibling decides to embrace the situation and ends up on an adventure of a lifetime with new friends in a bid to raise funds to save the family in a crisis. The teenage brother then sets out to rescue alongside local girl/love interest and they all rescue each other with a good moral ending. The perfect way to end the week, right? Starring Kea Peahu, Alex Aiono, Marc Evan Jackson, Lindsay Watson, Owen Vaccaro, Kelly Hu and Ricky Garcia.

Firefly Lane

Tully and Kate have spent 30 years being best friends and so much more to each other. The series, that follows the story of the pair from Kristin Hannah’s bestselling novel, follows them back through the decades from when they first met as new neighbours and unlikely friends through the trials and tribulations that life throws at all of us. Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready

‘Tiffany Haddish’ uses her status as an actor, comedian and author to provide a platform for upcoming female talent on the comedy scene in this, her second ‘They Ready’ (the title itself a nod to her own 2017 Netflix Special ‘She Ready’) show. The series sees six episodes each highlight one performer and is the follow up to the first season in 2019. Includes comedians Chaunté Wayans, April Macie, Tracey Ashley, Aida Rodriguez, Flame Monroe and Marlo Williams.
