All this week’s Netflix Originals (Available from 2nd April 2021)

One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge-watch! Concrete Cowboy

Another day another film starring Idris Elba on Netflix – at least that’s how it seems. This time Elba plays the estranged father of a teenager who is struggling to find his place in life. When said teen goes to live with the father he’s yet to build a relationship with, in North Philadelphia, he is surprised to find his father is an urban cowboy. With much to learn about this new way of life, the pair navigate their newfound father-son relationship amidst the horses and the concrete. Based on the novel ‘Ghetto Cowboy’ by G.Neri and directed by Ricky Staub the film stars Caleb McLaughlin and co-stars Jharrel Jerome, Byron Bowers, Lorraine Toussaint and Clifford “Method Man” Smith.

Madame Claude

The film is based on the true story of the woman known as Madame Claude in 1960s Paris who was an influential businesswoman running a call girl service for dignitaries and politicians. Her work gave her influential standing in powerful circles. The film depicts her life, her rise and fall. A previous film was released in 1977 with the same name. This Netflix version stars: Karole Rocher, Garance Marillier, Roschdy Zem.

Chloe is a teenager whose health issues prevent her from leading a regular life. As she becomes increasingly frustrated with her limitations she begins to suspect her mother is not telling her the whole truth and that she must escape the care she has been given. Directed by Aneesh Chaganty this psychological thriller stars Sarah Poulson and Kiera Allen as mother and daughter Diane and Chloe.

This is a Robbery: The World’s Biggest Art Heist

Three decades ago millions of dollars worth of art were stolen from Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. The artworks were never found but the hunt is back on. Cold case investigators attempt to uncover one of the biggest crimes in the history of the art world. That’s not all; a $10 million reward is on offer to anyone who finds it!

The Wedding Coach

Watch as comedian and presenter Jamie Lee comes to the rescue of couples in distress as they attempt to create “the perfect wedding!” These Reality TV series come real-life documentary style wedding show episodes, follow six engaged couples as they encounter the problems of wedding planning that many couples face. But these guys have something nobody else does to help – Jamie Lee!
