A World Without

Ali and Sofia Khan are the charismatic leaders of an organisation known as ‘The Light,’ sold as a new life for young people to make a difference in the world. When three young women, disappointed in the world they live in where dating is forbidden, join the organisation they soon realise that all is not good at ‘The Light’ and the girls must find a way out at all costs. The film stars Amanda Rawles, Maizura and Tarung Sarong as the three young women who have dreams that are promised to them by Ali and Sofia (Chicco Jerikho and Ayushita.) The director of the film Nia Dinata intentionally created a female-dominated space behind the scenes as well as within the female empowerment message of the film.
