Two Distant Strangers

Carter James has a regular life taking care of his best friend aka his much-loved dog and holds a career as a cartoonist. That world soon comes crashing down though as he is apprehended by an officer of the law when he leaves the apartment block and things quickly escalate. James then finds himself in a loop, repeating the same scenes over and over. The short film encourages important conversations and the producers, who shot the film over just five days during the pandemic, have expressed how delighted they are that such conversations have been boosted by Netflix acquiring the rights and releasing this important narrative as a Netflix Original in 2021. The film stars (Joey Badas$$) as Carter James and is produced by three-time Oscar-nominee Lawrence Bender, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Chris Uettwiller and Jesse Williams.
