Atypical (Season Four)

Sam Gardner is back and on the brink of independence as he embarks on a new journey to pursue his studies at college. Elsa must manage her empty nest symptoms whilst Sam’s sister is managing her new love life. Their father Doug has a new apprentice in training as a paramedic and Elsa and Doug seem to be emerging from the marital difficulties that tormented them in previous seasons. This fourth season consists of 10 x 30-minute episodes and is the final instalment for the series, promising to wrap up any loose ends by the final episode. Stars Keir Gilchrist, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nik Dodani, Michael Rapaport and Brigette Lundy-Paine.

Fear Street 1978

Following our announcement last week of the first instalment of film trilogy ‘Fear Street’ – if you loved it you’ll be pleased to know that the second instalment titled ‘Fear Street 1978’ lands this week. If you haven’t had the chance to catch this yet (who can blame you – it literally landed a week ago) then now you have the chance to watch them back to back. Heck, you could wait just one more week for the third movie and go for a marathon trilogy binge-watch. The films are a nod to the slasher movies of the 90s and are based on the book series by R.L Stine but these are no ‘Goosebumps’ for kids – this is gory, slasher movie horror.

If you want to see an extra sneak peek of the second film in the trilogy, here is an exclusive scene release from Netflix…

How to Become a Tyrant

This documentary series takes a look at tyranny as a form of leadership and how tyrants come to power, stay in power and convince whole populations of people to follow them. Including a magnified look at Colonel Gaddafi, Sadam Hussein and of course the biggest tyrant of them all Adolf Hitler.

The Water Man

Gunner is an 11-year old boy on a mission. He has heard the folklore of the town he recently moved to with his family and the stories of ‘The Water Man’. In a bid to save his mother, Gunner sets out to find the legend that is this Water Man with the help of a young girl who claims to know where to find him. The film stars and is directed by British born actor David Oyelowo as he brings Emma Needell’s screenplay to life and is executive produced by Oprah Winfrey via her company ‘Harpo Films’

This documentary asks the viewer – what would it take for you to pull off a heist? The series looks at three unreal real-life robberies. Millions of dollars are stolen in a Vegas casino by a 21-year ol woman. A man uses TV shows to learn how to get away with stealing a fortune from the Miami airport. A father is accused of one of the biggest bourbon burglaries in history in Kentucky. The mini-series features just two episodes documenting these heists to a fast-paced soundtrack and reconstructions. Directed by  Derek Doneen, Martin Desmond Roe and Nick Frew.
