One of the great things about Netflix are their Netflix Originals – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge watch! This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

Blazing Transfer Students

Inspired by the Japanese manga series of the same name that ran weekly from 1983-1985, Blazing Transfer Students is a live action series of eight episodes. The main character of the original 1980’s is now the principal of the school he attended where he learned that all dispute resolution was through fighting. This modern version sees six new students who bizarrely have the same name, transfer to the school and must battle each other for the position of top dog. We’re not sure how this narrative made it out of the 80’s to be honest but here it is anyway with a fresh face in 2017. The trailer tells us less than we already know but here it is anyway. If you are a fan of manga adapted to live action, why not give it a go and let us know what you think in the comments.

Dinotrux Supercharged

Dinotrux are back and are supercharged! More powerful than ever before (because being part Jurassic and part mechanical isn’t enough.) All jokes aside the writers over at Dreamworks clearly didn’t think it was enough to succeed beyond five seasons and so here we are with a re-branded ‘Dinotrux supercharged’ rather than a season six of ‘Dinotrux’ for the next generation of dinosaur/construction vehicle loving pre-schoolers. Seasons four and five were added in March and August of this year so perhaps the change is justified. Do your kids love everything ‘Dinotrux?’ Maybe you feel children should choose mechanical trucks or dinosaurs and life isn’t about merging your fave things. Maybe we’re overthinking this. 😉

Let us know your thoughts in the comments but remember if you’re searching for the new season of ‘Dinotrux’ you’ll find it as ‘Dinotrux Supercharged‘ season one.

Available Friday 10th November 2017.

GlitterForce DokiDoki (Season Two)

It’s been almost two years since the group of five pre-teen, super-cool, girls graced our screens as the Glitter Force in the twenty-episode, season one and now they’re back. Defeating the evil fairy-tale villains with their power of friendship that defeats all evil in this animated series known in Japan as simply ‘DokiDoki.’

Available Friday 10th November 2017

Lady Dynamite (Season Two)

If you loved season one’s comedic take on the life of a woman striving for her big break, resulting in break-down then this season two will not disappoint. Maria Bamford, comedian/writer, plays herself in what has been described as surreal comedy and an authentic look at mental illness using comedy. Maria suffers from Bi-polar and the show depicts the highs and lows of the disorder in her life, using comedy to highlight the issue today.

Available Friday 10th November 2017

The Killer (O Matador)

Brazilian western by Marcelo Galvao. Main character ‘Shaggy’ (Diogo Morgado,) a feared, ruthless killer, has been raised in the wilderness, isolated from all civilisation. His sole guardian and mentor has disappeared and Shaggy, ‘Yes Scoobs?’ (Sorry, wrong Shaggy, couldn’t resist!) must venture into the local town for the first time in order to find him. There he finds a notorious French tyrant who has a connected history.
