One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge watch! A Land Imagined

Set in Singapore, a police detective suffering from insomnia, investigates the mysterious disappearance of a young Chinese construction worker from a Singapore land reclamation firm. The detective must delve deep into the psyche of the introverted man if he is to uncover the truth of his whereabouts.

Huge In France

‘Gad Elmaleh’ (played by himself) is recognised as a talented French comedian everywhere he goes. Until that is, he isn’t in France. When Elmaleh travels to the U.S to reunite with his teenage son and stand up to his responsibilities as a father, he did not expect to meet such difficulties. His son has a stepdad figure who is physically everything Gad is not but worst of all, nobody knows who Gad is. Determined to rebuild his relationship with his son, Elmaleh commits to a new life in America, despite being a nobody, in this easily watchable eight-episode comedy series.

The Perfect Date

‘The Stand-In’ app is the brainchild of high school student Brooks Rattigan (Noah Centineo) in an attempt to fund his Yale college aspirations. The app gives girls what they want in the form of ‘The Perfect Date’ whatever they are looking for, for any event, Brooks provides them with a well-presented date who is the perfect gent. What he doesn’t count on is falling in love!

Ryan O’Connell has Cerebral Palsy. Ryan O’Connell is gay. Ryan O’Connell is tired of being defined by both whilst pretending to be neither. As O’Connell sets out to get the ordinary life he wants and deserves, there is bound to be hardship and obstacles but laughing along the way is essential. Based on his 2015 memoir ‘I’m Special: And Other Lies We Tell Ourselves’ O’Connell is the writer, executive producer and lead actor in the eight-episode comedy series that arrives this week.

No Good Nick

Starring ‘Siena Agudong’ as 13-year-old Nicole (aka Nick) and ‘Melissa Joan Hart’ as Liz. For teenage grifter Nick, the long-con has never been easier as she infiltrates a family, claiming to be a long lost relative. What she didn’t bank on was actually liking them. Can she see the plan through or will she have to abandon ship? The first ten episodes will be added to Netflix this week.

Homecoming: A Film By Beyonce

Beyonce Knowles-Carter performed at the 2018 ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’ in California as the first-ever black female artist to headline the event which has been running since 1993. The performance, which paid homage to the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) received phenomenal critical acclaim. The film follows the whole process from conception to the performance and is directed by Beyonce herself. The trailer is set to the audio of an interview with Maya Angelou.
