All this week’s Netflix Originals (Available from Friday 13th July 2018)

One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge watch! This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

As Netflix increase their Original content, here’s our ‘Top Picks’ list for this week (Full summary of additions at the end of the post).

The Epic Tales Of Captain Underpants

Two fourth-graders, George Beard and Harold Hutchins find a way to hypnotise their principal Mr Krupp, convincing him to shed his clothes down to his underwear and don a cape to take on the persona of their own comic book superhero and help them fight the ‘evil teachers’ in their school. The animated kids series is based on the original 1997 book; ‘The Adventures of Captain Underpants’ and the subsequent series of books spanning twenty years by author Dav Pilkey. Dreamworks released a movie ‘Captain Underpants; The First Epic Movie’ in cinemas June 2017 from which this series is a spin-off.

Jim Jefferies: This Is Me Now

Australian stand up comedian and star of the late night Comedy Central Show named after him, Jim Jefferies is back with his third Netflix Comedy Special ‘This Is Me Now’. Following the success of his first two specials ‘Bare’ 2014 and ‘Freedumb’ 2016, Jefferies material is as controversial as ever. Strong language and generally bad behaviour, make up most of his comedy and this special looks set to preserve that reputation.

This time the four teams of bakers must compete against the clock in various rounds of baking challenges, to be the fastest and win the $10,000 prize.
