Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge-watch! This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

Love Netflix Originals? Well here’s our list of ‘Top Picks’ for this week. Check out the trailers below and let us know what you’re looking forward to this week -full list of this week’s additions and regional availability at the end of the post. Netflix aren’t always that clear about geographical availability so please bear with us as we try to be as precise as possible about where Netflix Originals will be available. If in doubt titles will be listed simply as [Original] in the full list at the end of the post and as ‘available in selected regions’ within the post.

Hello Privilege. It’s Me, Chelsea

Chelsea Handler attempts to step out of her place of white-privilege that has, she says, influenced her career to gain this platform, in order to challenge white society into taking responsibility for what they do not appear to see. This brave documentary seeks to examine what is white-privilege and how white people can better understand their position in society in relation to people of colour. As one woman in the trailer states ‘…this goes deeper than a documentary’ when talking about black history and white privilege. She is of course right but could this be a good place to begin a conversation, challenge stereotypes, right wrongs? Who knows but it’s surely worth a watch, right?

The Ranch (Part Seven)

The Bennetts are back, in this ever-popular comedy-soap style series, as ex-pro athlete Colt (Ashton Kutcher) and his family continue to run the family ranch together whilst managing family dysfunction and business rivals.

Tall Girl

This week sees the family-friendly, feel-good movie, ‘Tall Girl’ land on Netflix. Jodie (Ava Michelle) is 73 inches tall at just 16 years old and as such is the tallest girl in her school. This brings with it a whole host of problems particularly with finding someone to date. When a Swedish exchange student arrives at the school, Jodie is overjoyed to find this handsome boy is taller than her at 6’2″ but soon realises that the shorter, more-popular girls still get first pickings. Directed by Nzingha Stewart and also starring ‘Sabrina Carpenter’ as her big sister Harper, the movie is a romantic comedy that follows a young woman learning to love the skin she is in.

Available globally from Friday 13th September 2019

Top Boy (Season One)

Whilst Netflix is labelling this as a first season, viewers may recognise it as actually the third season of British crime drama; ‘Top Boy: SummerHouse’ of which the first two seasons are already available to stream via Netflix. This new series revisits the streets of London with Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson returning as lead characters Dushane and Sully. This latest ‘Top Boy’ instalment is directed by Canadian rapper Drake and produced by Netflix for international distribution – hence the title change/re-brand of a new series. Check out the trailer below or the announcement teaser trailer HERE to see what’s in store!

Unbelievable (Season One)

New crime series ‘Unbelievable’ comes to Netflix this week as an eight-episode miniseries. Inspired by true events, ‘Marie’ (Kaitlyn Dever) reports an offence of rape and after much questioning is coerced into recanting her statement. Meanwhile, states away, an all female detective duo Det. Grace Rasmussen and Det Karen Duval (Toni Collette and Merritt Wever) work hard to track the perpetrator of a particular crime that leaves police departments in different states with no choice but to dismiss the case, often not believing the victims. “Even when you’re with people you can trust, if the truth is inconvenient, they don’t believe you”.
