All this week’s Netflix Originals (Available from Friday 15th February 2019)

One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge watch! Larry Charles’ Dangerous World of Comedy

It’s a dangerous world, on that I’m sure we all agree. Netflix is home to many documentaries that visit some of the darkest places on Earth but award-winning writer and director Larry Charles (Borat, Bruno, The Director), is investigating comedy in the midst of danger. Visiting some of the world’s most dangerous places to live this fascinating documentary looks at those risking it all to bring people laughter where making light of life is sometimes the only thing people have to hold on to.

The Umbrella Academy

Based on the popular comic book of the same name, ‘The Umbrella Academy’ follows the story of six adopted children, raised as an academy of specially talented kids. Now adults, they must reunite to save the world with the superhuman powers they were gifted with from birth.

Two rival friends who were once a team of con-men, now work the cruise ship scene alone vowing not to cross paths as they target unsuspecting rich tourists. Now they have ended up on the same luxury cruiseliner with the same love interest that drove them apart. As the ship travels from Barcelona to Cancun the pair attempt to fleece the same lottery winner. Starring Luis Tosar, Rodrigo de la Serna and Joan Pera.

The Drug King

Netflix adds to its catalogue of films starring popular Korean actor Bae Doona this week with the story of how ‘The King’ of the exported narcotics world of Japan came from lowly beginnings as a petty smuggler in Busan in the 1970’s and rose to the top of his game.
