All this week’s Netflix Originals (Available from Friday 15th June 2018)

One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge watch! This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

As Netflix increase their Original content, here’s our ‘Top Picks’ list for this week (Full summary of additions at the end of the post).

Set it Up

Romantic comedy drama that could be described as ‘Parent Trap’ for grown ups, hits Netflix this Friday. Two assistants devote their entire lives to making their bosses happy at the same firm, when one day the pair decide the answer to their predicament is to match-make their employers. Going out of their way in outlandishly funny ways to get the unlikely couple alone together, Harper and Charlie begin to realise their targets are not the only ones in need of love.

Available Friday 15th June 2018

The Balada de Hugo Sanchez

It is the ‘Dual of the Birds’ tournament in Nicaragua and the Cuervos football team is without a manager. Meet Hugo Sanchez, an unlikely sports coach with the chance of a lifetime to promote himself. Against his mothers wishes for him to return home and sell coffins for the family business, Sanchez must find a way to help the team win the tournament if he is to be a success.

Available Friday 17th June 2018

Hannah Gadsby: Nanette

Technically classified as a stand up comedy special, Netflix have cleverly dropped the word ‘comedy’ from the classification in the trailer. As a professional comedian, Gadsby has formed a successful career from self deprecation on stage. In this stand up show she uses her natural flair for comedy to tell her story and to address some of the issues faced by many around negatively portraying ourselves in order to be liked.
