All this week’s Netflix Originals (Available from Friday 16th November 2018)

One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge watch! This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

Check out the summary at the end of the post for the full list of additions and here’s our ‘Top Picks’ for this week…

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs

CAM

A girl awakes to find she cannot access her online channel that has become her livelihood. Things take a dramatic turn for the worse when she realises the footage being shown is not her old footage being replayed as she had first thought but that an identical looking girl has taken her place and is streaming new live material. This doppelganger is replacing her on screen, pushing her boundaries beyond her own limits and is, as a result, seriously affecting her life off screen. Stars Madeline Brewer who many will recognise from Orange is The New Black or more recently as ‘Janine’ in Hublu’s; The Handmaid’s Tale.

Available Friday 16th November 2018

Dogs

This canine-themed series presents six stories of dogs and their owners. From war-torn countries to befriending those in need in the west, dogs really are man’s best friend. Follow the stories of dogs helping humans in the best way they know how in this feel-good series.

Available Friday 16th November 2018

The Princess Switch

It’s now mid-November and we can be sure to expect a host of Christmas material in the run-up to Christmas. The Princess Switch is the first of the double whammy of Christmas movies to be added this week. (The second being ‘The Christmas Chronicles’ which you can see here.) It’s also the second of this week’s ‘switch’ identity style movies. Whilst the first had a rather darker tone in thriller ‘CAM’ ‘The Princess Switch’ is much more family oriented and adopts the ‘cheesy’ Christmas film identity that is an essential family movie night at this time of year.

Available Friday 16th November 2018

Narcos: Mexico

Lovers of ‘Narcos’ will be pleased to hear of this new series ‘NARCOS: Mexico’ A young, aspiring detective is sent to Guadalajara to head up the drug investigations in Mexico in the 1980’s.

Available Friday 16th November 2018

Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia

Trevor Noah is not just the son of Patricia. He is, in fact, a very funny stand up comedian and is gracing our screens from this week in his new stand up comedy special. With his mainly political show, he has us all laughing at subjects like how this is the first time we are all learning about the presidency of America whilst the President of America is learning at the same time!
