All this week’s Netflix Originals (Available from Friday 19th July 2019)

One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge watch! This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

Love Netflix Originals? Well here’s our list of ‘Top Picks’ for this week. Check out the trailers below and let us know what you’re looking forward to this week -full list of this week’s additions and regional availability at the end of the post. Netflix aren’t always that clear about geographical availability so please bear with us as we try to be as precise as possible about where Netflix Originals will be available. If in doubt titles will be listed simply as [Original] in the full list at the end of the post and as ‘available in selected regions’ within the post.

Money Heist (Part Three)

‘Money Heist’ isn’t actually about the money this time. In ‘Part Three’ a member of the highly-skilled team is captured and they must pull together as a ‘family unit’ to rescue him. This is the most dangerous ‘Heist’ of them all as they attempt to ‘steal’ their comrade back in what seems like an impossible mission. The series has won international acclaim for its first and second seasons and Netflix listed the series as the ‘most-watched non-English speaking series ever’ in their 2018 report to shareholders. The world loves a good group robbery (thinking Oceans Eleven etc) and it seems viewers in English language territories are in no way deterred by such a minute thing as a foreign language. Reviewers of the eight-episode series claim it’s better watched in its original language with subtitles as opposed to dubbing but we’ll leave that to you.

Available in selected regions from Friday 19th July 2019

Typewriter (Season One)

This spooky ‘haunted house’ type horror movie is set in Goa, India. A team of ghost hunter friends investigate an old house ‘Bardez Villa’ that has a chilling history but when their plans are interrupted by a young family that moves into the house to make it a home, old secrets are resurrected and events take a terrifying turn for the worse. The fact that a typewriter is involved, maybe even responsible as some kind of channel is terrifying to us writers. Makes us want to stop writing immediately but then you guys wouldn’t have any idea what else is upcoming on Netflix, would you? So, we soldier on, trying not to look over our shoulders as we type. 😉

Available in selected regions from Friday 19th July 2019

The Great Hack

We’ve all seen the online advertising that appears almost magically on our devices from our thoughts or our conversations and been convinced of advertising giants spying on us, right? Well, this documentary is a deep investigation into just how protected or not, our data actually is. Who has it, why and what do they intend to do with it? Are we all pawns in a world where marketing and social media giants collaborate to make each other richer? Check out ‘The Great Hack’ this week, although be warned it may make you want to smash all your devices and crawl under a rock for a while or maybe not.
