The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind
English actor Chiwetel Ejiofor debuts in his first role as writer/director in this true story based on the life accomplishment of a Malawian teenager. William Kamkwamba is a young aspiring engineer. He goes to school and his family manage their farm day to day. Whilst they don’t want for food they do live season by season according to their crop. When the destabilising events of natural catastrophes like floods and the political fall out from international unrest begins to impact his community, William develops a plan to stabilise the family business and save his community. Set in the early 2000’s ‘The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind’ is based on the teenager’s memoirs from the time.

This interesting sporting documentary looks at how some sporting professionals have faced serious failure in their chosen sports only to go on to succeed. Some even suggest it is the key to their success and without failure, they would have not excelled later in their field. Of course some did not have the same success.

William Baldwin plays a father struggling to raise a family after the death of his wife. With three kids all grieving the loss of their mother the West family relocates North to Turtle Bay Island much to the dismay of his teenager children.

When a surgeon finds his own son has been beaten to death outside a nightclub he vows to find answers and avenge his son’s untimely death. He will stop at nothing to uncover the truth in this Spanish thriller.

Rebellion (Season Two – AKA Resistance)
Under the title ‘Resistance’, Irish network RTE broadcast the sequel to miniseries ‘Rebellion’ in Ireland last month. The series has been met by critique of its historical accuracy in some areas but is still widely seen as a success in portraying fictional characters during the ‘Easter Rising’ Set in 1920’s ‘Bloody Sunday’ era, Colin Teevan’s ‘Resistance’ is again a fictional political drama set in an historical time that was crucial to the future of Ireland. A third series has already been confirmed.

Jake Manley stars as Jack Morton the new kid at college that discovers and joins a secret cult called ‘The Order’. Living up to its name, The Order restores a sense of normality to a world influenced by the forces of magic in this horror drama series.
