The Witcher

Monster hunting, escaped royalty and sorcery are all at play in this new series from Netflix. Based on the series of books written by Andrzej Sapkowski ‘The Witcher’ follows Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavell), a solo monster hunter who finds himself drawn through sorcery to a princess. They must navigate their paths together with the help of the sorcerer to journey across the turbulent continent of this fantasy world. The book series consisted of eight novels and originally was intended as a film for Netflix however, the sheer volume of material convinced the streaming giant to offer the narrative as a series. Season one consists of eight episodes. A second season has already been announced back in November.

You (Season Two)

The series that had the Netflix community hooked and binge-watching like we’ve never binge-watched before is back. Obviously there is a new target for weirdly likeable Joe, given that Beck didn’t quite ‘work out’ as planned in season one. This season sees Joe move to Los Angeles where he meets ‘Love’ (aptly named). Everyone’s favourite stalker is back; this time – it’s ‘Love’! Starring Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti.
