One of the great things about Netflix are their Netflix Originals – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge watch! This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father

British comedian Jack Whitehall decides to take off on the gap year he never had. Taking his father with him, their escapades are the focus of this comedy/documentary series. The trailer alone made us giggle! Take a look…#Stewart

Neo Yokio

Fictional (Obviously, New York based) city known as the best city in the world for it’s lifestyle, architecture and well basically everything, is under attack. Kaz Kaan (voiced by Jaden Smith) is tasked with assisting the government in this matter of national security. Under the guidance of his aunt Agatha (voiced by Susan Sarandon) Kaz, an ex demon slayer must use his skills to save the city whilst dealing with his relationship issues. This first season of the anime series includes six episodes of 30 mins. Warning trailer includes gratuitous “Toblerone” shots (oh and some bad language.) Other actors voicing characters include; Jude Law, Richard Ayoade, Ike Barinholtz, Steve Buscemi, Alexa Chung, Stephen Fry, Katy Mixon, Annet Mahendru, Kiernan Shipka and Jaden’s sister; Willow Smith.

Available Friday 22nd September 2017

The Bad Batch

Where do we start! We could share the trailer but given that it is one of those that actually tells you nothing of the synopsis of the film and leaves you wondering why you’ve just wasted two minutes of your life watching random snatches of scenes, it seems pointless. Instead here’s a brief synopsis; A young girl named Arlen (Suki Waterhouse) is abandoned across a fictional ‘border.’ A sign reads that beyond it lies a land that is not governed by the laws of the rest of the US. Arlen is captured by cannibals and tortured but still manages to escape and make it to the town they call Comfort. Comfort, a drug filled, cult-like community run by “The Dream” (Keanu Reeves) is rife with sex, violence and drugs but allows her the time needed to heal. She leaves to seek revenge but Comfort becomes Arlens destination again as she finds herself out in the wilderness looking for a solution. Her quest begins to discover herself and what she wants from this not so pretty life. The film has been classified as a romantic, black-comedy, horror, thriller which in my opinion is mind blowing in itself. If “The Bad Batch” sounds like your thing, let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Available from Friday 22nd Septemebr 2017.

Gaga Five Foot Two

Extremely candid documentary following Lady Gaga through her celebrity and personal life. This documentary promises an unfiltered look at the singer’s life in all her glory as well as in her trials and tribulations including the intense pain she suffers as she travels on tour and records and releases her 2016 album, ‘Joanne.’ The documentary also follows the performer home with some personable scenes with her family.
