Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga
A little later than planned as the real-life Eurovision Contest was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic (the film was scheduled to be released at the same) ‘Eurovision Song Contest: The Fire of Saga’ lands on Netflix this Friday. Will Ferrell wrote and produced the film as well as starring in the lead role alongside Rachel McAdams. The comedy film also stars Pierce Brosnan, Dan Stevens, Demi Lovato and Graham Norton as himself (for those who don’t know he is the UK representative/presenter for the actual Eurovision Song Contest. The film centres around Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir a pop-duo from Iceland, desperate to represent their country at the contest. The film pokes fun at the sensational contest with predictable gags but has been criticised for not necessarily reaching younger audiences who perhaps do not understand the craziness that is the contest and its history. Ferrell is no doubt his hilarious yet cringe-inducing self, we are eager to find out if McAdams is cut out for his level of comedy.

Dark (Season Three)
Fans of German psychological thriller Dark will be pleased to hear season three arrives on the platform this coming Saturday. The series has been set in a number of different decades and major players are seen at varying ages from different times. Season three claims to join up the dots and connect the circle which is good to hear considering this third instalment will also be its final season. Does this mean it will all make sense? Not necessarily but isn’t that part of its popularity? Early in its inception, ‘Dark’ was likened to its counterpart ‘Stranger Things’ but this was soon quashed by the series as it took on its own life entirely and began its own trajectory of worlds and timelines.
