One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge-watch! This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

In The Shadow Of The Moon
A serial killer is on the loose, leaving their strange mark on their victims but this isn’t the first time. Boyd Holbrook and Michael C Hall star in this crime/sci-fi/thriller/drama. Yes, it does hit all those genres. When the same killer seems to reappear every nine years, it’s bound to leave the investigators obsessed with finding answers. But are the answers they are looking for really what they want to find?
Available globally from Friday 27th September 2019
The Netflix trailer for its new comedy series ‘The Politician’ appears to be a selection of random scenes from a film loosely based on teens wanting to be politicians. After researching a little further we found that there is a narrative to this eight-episode American series. Payton Hobart (Ben Platt) is a teen with ambition. He has aspired to be the president of the U.S since he was just seven years old. The show charts his progress in school as a candidate for Student Body President who will stop anything or anyone threatening his goal. If you are lost watching the trailer, why not give the series a try. It’s bite-sized at eight episodes long and worth a try, if nothing else because it also stars Gwyneth Paltrow and seems to be at least a little funny. If teens trying to be politicians in hilarious ways is not your thing then let’s move on…
Available in selected regions from Friday 27th September 2019
Next up and taking a grittier turn is the Netflix series ‘Skylines’. When a music producer is feeling blessed to have made it as he is signed to recording company Skyline Records, things take a turn as the founder’s brother and gang member returns to claim his share of the company. Thrust into the world of illegal drug dealing and violence of Frankfurt, Edin Hasanovic, Peri Baumeister, Murathan Muslu star in this dark, six-episode series, that lands globally, this Friday.

Mo Gilligan: Momentum
Mo Gilligan has shot to Netflix stardom this week. Gilligan is a firm favourite of many with his relatable, observational stand-up material including material on his childhood, adulthood, women, and the ‘Whatsapp’ group chats we use to organise events. Gilligan is a 31-year-old British-born comedian who began his career uploading videos to social media whilst working in retail. Spotted by Canadian rapper Drake in 2017, Gillingham began co-hosting and appearing on British chat shows before hosting his own show that launched earlier this year; ‘The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan’.
Available globally from Monday 30th September 2019
Nikki Glaser: Bangin’
Glaser tells it how it is in this no-holds-barred, stand up routine. American born and raised, the 35-year-old comedian has featured on radio and television since she began her stand up career at the age of 18. Packing a punch, Glaser covers sex widely in her material, particularly in a way that challenges the stigma around women discussing sex. This is her first hour-long Netflix special. Warning the trailer gets straight into it, mentioning sexual acts from the outset. Don’t worry though, it is all done in the name of humour and if you’re shocked, it’s probably only because she’s a woman 😉
Available globally from Tuesday 1st October 2019
