Check out the trailers below and let us know what you’re looking forward to this week -full list of this week’s additions and regional availability at the end of the post. Netflix aren’t always that clear about geographical availability so please bear with us as we try to be as precise as possible about where Netflix Originals will be available. If in doubt titles will be listed simply as [Original].

Santa Clarita Diet

Your friendly neighbourhood zombie (and family) is back for season three. Love thy neighbour or want to eat thy neighbour? Same difference, right? Sheila (Drew Barrymore) is still ‘undead’ and as her stockpile of neo-Nazi baseball players is depleted, she’s getting hungry. In the meantime, there are people hell-bent on destroying the likes of Sheila, there is a ball on legs type spider thing and a talking head named Gary (who wasn’t quite dead from season one). Ten-episode season three looks fun…

15 August

A love triangle emerges as a community celebrates independence day in India. Will the unfortunate events of the day (a young boy gets stuck in a hole in the ground) help true love take its form? Romantic comedy demonstrating that love finds a way through the strangest of situations.

The Highwaymen

Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson star as the two Texan rangers in 1934 tasked with finding and arresting Bonnie and Clyde, outlawed and wanted across the country. The law enforcement officers will stop at nothing to stop the hype and catch the infamous pair in this action-packed movie based on true events.

The Legend Of Cocaine Island

Legend has it that there is a holdall of cocaine stashed in the Caribbean worth two million dollars. Businessman Rodney Hyden was suffering greatly after the recession and hatched a plan to find the loot with a team of bandits as the answer to all his woes. With none of them particularly experienced in drug running, anything could have happened and did. The documentary is a light-hearted but no less true depiction of Hyden’s attempt to salvage a fortune from urban myth and get rich. Previously titled ‘White Tide: The Legend of Culebra’ directed by Theo Love, the film was always set to tell the true tale in a light-hearted and comical way.

Osmosis

Techy siblings create a way for the unloved to find their soulmate in this sci-fi series. The candidates actively choose to take part in a trial drug to find their one true love but as in most sci-fi movies of this ilk, things don’t really go to plan. Think ‘Black Mirror’-esq narrative with some freaky goings on and you’ll get the gist of this eight-episode sci-fi series set in a not too distant future Paris.
