All this week’s Netflix Originals (Available from Friday 29th September 2017)

One of the great things about Netflix are their Netflix Originals – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge watch! This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

Good evening. Autumn is upon us as we approach the end of September and with eight new arrivals this week, you should be all set for what to watch, cosy in front of the box. Here’s our round-up of what will be available from Friday 29th September 2017.

Club de Cuervos (Season Three)

First up this week is the Mexican comedy drama series “Club de Cuervos.” For those not familiar with season one and two, this third season continues the hilarious battle between two siblings. Both heirs to their fathers football club they must learn to work together in order to not only save the club but to help it grow. Boasting it’s status as the first Spanish language speaking Netflix Original series, the show is a huge hit and this third season looks set to continue that.

Available from Friday 29th September 2017

Gerald’s Game

Here at New On Netflix UK we have been looking forward to this latest Stephen King offering. Disappointed with ‘The Mist’ we’re hoping that this Stephen King horror story transitions to screen better than others that have not quite managed to make the grade. It is a film rather than a series and is based on the authors story of a couple who decide to spice up their marriage by spending some quality alone time in a cabin in the woods. Things take a nasty turn for the worse leaving the wife in a compromising position, to say the least.

Available from Friday 29th September 2017

Long Shot

We all love a great true crime investigation even the satirical one “American Vandal” which is definitely on my watch list. “Long Shot” brings true crime documentary’s back to the serious though. In this documentary film, Juan Catalan was accused of murder but had an alibi of being in a stadium watching a baseball game with tens of thousands of fellow fans. All his defence team had to do was prove it!

Available Friday 29th September 2017

Paul Hollywood’s Big Continental Road Trip

You would be forgiven for thinking that this documentary is about food given that Paul Hollywood’s fame is for his culinary skills given that he is a leading celebrity chef in the UK. This series is actually about cars as the celebrity chef and avid automobile fan travels around Italy, France and Germany examining cars and culture. As a part-time racing driver Paul jumped at the chance to film this series which features a number of other celebrities in the passenger seat along his journey. Originally aired on the BBC in the UK, the series is a global original except for the UK, Ireland, Poland and Africa.

Available from Friday 29th September 2017

Our Souls at Night

Starring Robert Redford and Jane Fonda “Our Souls at Night” is the heartwarming story of two pensioners who were widowed years earlier and are looking for companionship to ease the loneliness. Despite being neighbours for many years, the pair begin a journey of getting to know one other on a deeper level.

Available Friday 29th September 2017.

Real Bob (Season Two)

Comedy show depicting the real life of internationally recognised, stand up comedian, Rob Scnheider. The show features snippets of Rob’s stand up shows along the way.

Available from Friday 29th September 2017

The Magic School Bus Rides Again

Kids animated series follow up to the 1990’s animated series “The Magic School Bus” based on the beloved series of books by the same name. Teacher Miss Frizzle (a younger, cooler version of the original teacher) and her class board a modernised, high tech school bus for more adventures that are sure to appeal to modern day kids.

Available from Friday 29th September 2017

Big Mouth (Season One)

From the creators of “Family Guy” (Andrew Goldberg) and “The League” (Nick Kroll) comes this adult animated series. Kroll also voices many of the characters in this hilarious ten episode comedy “Big Mouth”. The thirty minute episodes take a comedic look at that dreaded time of life that is “puberty.”

Available Friday 29th September 2017

Rodney Carrington; Here Comes the Truth

Stand up comedy special filmed in front of a packed audience at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Rodney Carrington, with his guitar, performs his comedy show covering divorce, dating and world healing.

Available Tuesday 3rd October 2017.

    1. This will be corrected in a bit! Every now and then Netflix don’t add a show to their list of upcoming Originals – this was one. It was also one we missed when we collated our manual list that of shows Netflix didn’t have on their list!! Clear as mud, yes?

    2. Yeah, I was only joking around since I know how much work goes into running this site 😛 and alot of people probably don’t mind considering how controversial it is.
