All this week’s Netflix Originals (Available from Friday 30th November 2018)

One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge watch! This area is exclusively for Netflix Originals, for general Netflix additions and removals or to view the current full catalogue check out your regional New On Netflix website.

Check out the summary at the end of the post for the full list of additions and here’s our ‘Top Picks’ for this week…

The year is 2003, twenty years since Poland was facing liberation that came to a standstill due to the terrorist attack of 1983. A Law student and an ex-police investigator uncover together the conspiracy that has supported the Iron Curtain and Poland’s position as a repressive police state. Whilst these two men attempt to expose the conspiracy, a revolution is expected but, with the powers-that-be willing to stop them at any cost, how will they succeed?

Available Friday 30th November 2018

What happens when rich kids get bored? 1983 is the story of two Italian teenage girls from affluent families who need nothing but want everything. In a bid to find some excitement they adopt secret lives delving into prostitution in the underground scene of the city of Rome and soon find things spiraling out of control.

A Christmas prince: The Royal Wedding

Christmas is almost upon us. How do we know? Because Netflix is adding “The Christmas…Something or other” on a weekly basis. Recent weeks have seen ‘The Christmas Calendar’, ‘The Princess Switch’ (ok that one doesn’t have Christmas in the title) and ‘The Christmas Chronicles’. Some are great family movies and others not so good, all of them, cheesy, family fun that Christmas is all about and this sequel to last year’s popular Netflix Christmas movie ‘The Christmas Prince’ is no different. ‘The Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding’ or ‘The Christmas Prince 2’ as it has become affectionately named by fans will no doubt tick all the boxes whether you are planning on binge-watching as many Christmas themed movies as possible this holiday season or just want to find out what happened after aspiring journalist Amber met Prince Richard and fell head over heels and agreed to marry him. Will love save the day as the couple work through the royal traditions and expectations in the run up to The Royal Wedding?

Death by Magic

Drummond Money-Coutts is an accomplished illusionist of the highest standard. Travelling the world he has performed some of the most amazing tricks. In this Netflix special Drummond will attempt to recreate some world-famous performances that are famous for causing the death of the magicians that carried them out. Complete with suspense-creating music and gasping audiences the drama is no doubt tangible but we are assuming Money-Coutts (what a name) didn’t actually die in the making of this unless Netflix has taken a really dark turn. Assuming he did not experience ‘Death by Magic’ and is alive and well, the next question is did he actually complete the tricks his predecessors failed to, check it out this week and let us know your thoughts.

Available Friday 30th November 2018

Teenager Amalie’s life is turned upside down when her father is forced into bankruptcy and her elite classical dance school and bullish teacher are unaware of her new-found family status. Amalie adopts a new style of dance which leads her into the exciting underground world of new friendships, love and hip-hop dance battles.

Russell Brand: Rebirth

‘Brand’ delivers his stand up comedy in what has now come to be expected as his wordy yet at times quite crude, style. His journey through stand up comedy, parenting, Hollywood acting and even politics has seen him adopt a mature attitude to getting those laughs whilst still maintaining the ability to laugh at his own failings and analyse western society. By his own admission, he embarked on this tour after kinda alienating himself from publicity by speaking out about the world’s media and entertainment industry and now finds himself in need of an income 😉
