One of the great things about Netflix is their Netflix Original content – be it films or series made by Netflix themselves or exclusive content available only on Netflix after it airs on regular TV. Every week we will give you a round-up of the new Netflix Originals becoming available in the next week. We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Perfect if you’re looking to check out what new Originals are available to watch over your weekend or if you’re planning a week-long Netflix binge-watch! Queer Eye

‘Queer Eye’ returns for its sixth season! The popular makeover show returns for its followers this time focussing on the state of Texas. Helping individuals change their lives around including those impacted by the devastating effects of the pandemic and the storms in their homes and businesses. The team focus on fashion, culture, grooming and more to reinvent and revive.

The Lost Daughter

Maggie Gyllenhall debuts as director of this new film ‘The Lost Daughter’ which lands this week. Starring Olivia Coleman as a woman holidaying alone, The Lost Daughter, based on the novel by Elena Ferrante, follows Leda (Coleman); a woman who finds herself in a new stage of life now her two grown daughters have moved abroad to live with their father. As she predicts a life of loneliness and regrets she finds herself surprisingly unburdened by and enjoying her newfound freedom until that is, she encounters a young mother from a neighbouring villa on holiday. The encounter stirs feelings that cause Leda to address her past and the decisions made as this psychological thriller unfolds. Also stars Jessie Buckley and Dakota Johnson, Peter Sarsgaard and Ed Harris.

Stay Close

Starring Cush Jumbo, James Nesbitt, Richard Armitage and Sarah Parish, this new series from acclaimed writer Harlen Coben, lands this Friday on Netflix. Expect twists and turns in this thriller that unravels the mystery that is the disappearance of two men and the story of four individuals with a 17-year old history they’d rather forget.

The Hookup Plan (Plan Coeur)

The popular series of matchmaking for love is back for its 3rd instalment. Emilie, Eliza and Charlotte must face the truth and each other after heartbreaking disloyalty and make decisions about life and their friendship if they are to move forward.

The Wasteland

“You might not be able to see it but the beast is there” – Folklore tells of a beast that roams the land that Diego and his mother live on.
