British film set in a time when anonymity does not exist, everyone’s identity and memories are stored and crime is almost non-existent. The new order of things is shaken up when a detective (Clive Owen) uncovers a young woman (Amanda Seyfried) who is defying all of the above rules. He must discover her identity if he is to stop what may be an uprising leading to a return to crime that threatens society. Capturing this woman is more than difficult when it appears she has infiltrated the technology and the world around the detective is not what it seems.  “Anonymity is the enemy” – or is it?

Busted! I Know Who You Are

Keeping in with the spirit of chat and game shows of which Netflix appears to be increasing the catalogue content with, Korea’s offering is by way of a murder mystery game show. End Game

A subject that may appear slightly macabre at first glance is the important topic featured as the focus for this documentary by film makers Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. A beautiful look at palliative care, the film looks at the procedures and policies in place to enable people to still experience quality at the end of their life. “There’s nothing inherently medical about dying, it’s much larger than medicine”. Tissues at the ready…

The Rain

Scandinavian apocalyptic drama set after a mysterious rain falls infecting the majority of the population. Two siblings escape their underground bunker six years after ‘The Rain’ to find others also in search of a new world to live in. Along the way it seems that some of the social boundaries of the world before the infected waters fell, are still very much an issue in the group.

Available Friday 4th May 2018

Dear White People

This week sees the return of the show ‘Dear White People’ which is a remake of 2014 film of the same name. Samantha White (Tessa Thompson) uses her radio show ‘Dear White People’ to address all that is wrong with the predominantly white population of students at her ‘Ivy League’ college. With it’s mixed reviews, season one gave us an in depth view into fictional college ‘Winchester’ and its racism both direct and indirect. Love it or hate it ‘Vol. 2’ looks set to pick up pretty much where it left off. Despite it receiving a substantial amount of critique, Netflix clearly thinks its loved enough for a comeback. Do you love it or hate it? Let us know in the comments.
