We will aim to post every week on Thursday evening with what will be available over the coming week. Check out the summary at the end of the post for the full list of additions and here’s our ‘Top Picks’ for this week…

The Great British Bake Off

The series that has become a cultural phenomenon in the UK despite it being axed from the BBC, continues to prove popular internationally as season eight is added to Netflix this week. The season aired in 2017 in the UK and was the first from its new home at Channel 4. It did not disappoint fans of the show even with its new line up of presenters and judges. Paul Holywood continues as ‘chief judge’. American fans will see the show as ‘The Great British Baking Show’ due to the fact that Pillsbury company has the rights to the term ‘Bake-Off’ in the US.

The Sinner (Season Two)

After the huge success of Jessica Biel’s season one of the series ‘The Sinner’ where a young mother committed murder on a public beach for reasons she wasn’t even aware of, the series returns with a brand new story. Following the same idea of why rather than who, detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) is called in to help uncover the motive in an unusual case. After much speculation, Jessica Biel will not star in this season, however, will remain in her executive producer role.

Whilst technically listed by Netflix as a stand-up comedy special the trailer shows an intimate one-man show of music and narrative. Focussing on father-son relationships.
