Netflix has announced that renowned animators Studio Ghibli will be releasing 21 of their films on Netflix globally (excluding USA, Canada and Japan) starting from February 1st. Seven films will be added each month in February, March and April which is almost their entire catalogue. This is the first time the films have been available digitally as they have only previously been released on physical media – you can see the release schedule below. In related news, 9 Naruto films will be added to Netflix UK on February 1st.
Netflix has also confirmed that, “for the first time ever, this expansive catalogue of Studio Ghibli films will be subtitled in 28 languages, and dubbed in up to 20 languages.”
