Comedian and TV star Aziz Ansari, who found his fame in “Parks and Recreation”, has won a Golden Globe at last night’s award ceremony. Ansari won it in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series Musical/Comedy category for his role in the Netflix Original series “Master of None”. He was nominated in the same category in the 2016 Golden Globes but this is his first win – referencing this and also acknowledging his co-stars he said: “I am glad that we won this one. To lose two of these in a row would have been a really sh***y moment for me. But this is nice. The only reason my acting is good on the show is because everyone holds me up”
Both seasons of “Master of None” are available on Netflix and there are no details about a renewal for season 3 as yet.
Well deserved. Love his show. It’s so clever how it addresses issues. Never feels preachy. The episode with the differences about how woman and man experience the same situation was brilliantly done.
This was brilliant, hope there is another series.
