Bestselling Novel “All The Light We Cannot See” Set to Become Epic Limited Series for Netflix

Netflix has announced that they are working on a limited series based on the bestselling, Pulitzer Prize-winning novel “All The Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr. The four-part series will be produced by Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment (“Stranger Things”, “Free Guy”) and written by Steven Knight (“Peaky Blinders”) with Levy is set to direct all episodes.

The series tells the story of Marie-Laure, a teenager who is blind, and Werner, a German soldier, whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of World War II.

The producers have also announced a worldwide casting search for the lead role of teenage “Marie-Laure.” Actresses who are blind or low vision are especially encouraged to apply. Those interested can apply by emailing [email protected]
