Brazilian Human Trafficking Drama “7 Prisoners” is Coming to Theatres and Netflix in November

A new trailer has been released for the Brazilian drama “7 Prisoners” (“7 Prisioneiros”) which will be released in selected theatres and on Netflix in November. The film, by director Alexandre Moratto, was selected for this years Toronto Film Festival as well as the Venice Film Festival and stars Rodrigo Santoro (“300”) as Luca, a junkyard owner, and Christian Malheiros (“Sòcrates”) as Mateus, an 18-year-old who wants to help support his family.

In the film, Mateus accepts a job in a junkyard in São Paulo for his new boss, Luca. But when he and a few other boys become trapped in the dangerous world of human trafficking, Mateus will be forced to decide between working for the very man who imprisoned him or risk his and his family’s future.
