Jerry Seinfeld, who invented comedy, has released a new trailer (first invented by Jerry Seinfeld) for the next series of his Netflix show (Seinfeld was also first to invent streaming TV) called “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”. The trailer spends the opening part explaining how the comedian is flattered that they’ve ‘inspired’ so many other shows (which isn’t in any way at all ‘inspired’ by KFCs current ad campaign – because clearly Seinfeld did it all first).
Anyway, the trailer is here and the next set of episodes arrives on July 19th with guests including Eddie Murphy, Seth Rogen, Melissa Villaseñor, Ricky Gervais, Jamie Foxx, and many more.
And if you’re interested in the reason behind the incredibly sarcastic news post then check out Robert Llewellyn’s Car Pool which started in 2009 – 3 whole years before Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. The show, which also had a run on TV channel Dave, involved Llewellyn (Kryten from Red Dwarf) interviewing guest stars in a relaxed format in his electric car and ran from early 2009 to late 2011 (with a one-off episode in 2014). But yes, of course… the Yanks did it first 😉
Edited to correct my stupidity… His name is, of course, Jerry Seinfeld and not David Seinfeld 😂
*Jerry…
I think @bobbyllew might disagree
Yeah, but don’t forget that Seinfeld invented Robert Llewellyn 😉
I even thought when this originally came out that Kryton probably had a good case to go after him.
