Netflix has announced the cast for a new take on the super hero genre with “We Can Be Heroes”. The film is written, produced and directed by Robert Rodriguez (“Spy Kids”) and will star Christian Slater (“Mr. Robot”), YaYa Gosselin (“The Purge”), Akira Akbar (“Captain Marvel”), Andrew Diaz, Andy Walken (“The Kids are Alright”), Boyd Holbrook (“Logan”), Hala Finley (“Man with a Plan”) Isaiah Russell-Bailey (“Family Reunion”), Lotus Blossom (“Magic Max”), Lyon Daniels (“Patriot”), Nathan Blair (“Best. Worst. Weekend. Ever.”), Sung Kang (“Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift”),Vivien Lyra Blair (“Bird Box”), Adriana Barraza (“Dora and the Lost City of Gold”) and Christopher McDonald (“Mr. Iglesias”) with Pedro Pascal (“Narcos”) and Priyanka Chopra-Jonas (“Isn’t It Romantic”).
The film is currently shooting in Texas and is about alien invaders that kidnap Earth’s superheroes and then their children must team up and learn to work together if they want to save their parents and the world.
