Netflix has today announced that Sony Pictures Television’s “Cobra Kai” is moving to Netflix ahead of its Season 3 premier. The Karate Kid sequel series is set 30 years after the original movie (which was recently added to Netflix UK) and original cast members Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprise their roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence respectively. The series has had great reviews as well as an Emmy nomination.
The two existing series that are on YouTube Premium will move to Netflix later this year with season 3 launching exclusively on Netflix.
Cobra Kai takes place 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, where a now successful Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) struggles to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of Mr. Miyagi, and must face his previous adversary, down-and-out Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), who seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo.

This was the only thing worth watching on YouTube Premium, that’s why no-one is paying £11.99 a month for it.
Will Netflix get the first 2 seasons?
