Final Season of Lucifer Will Be 60% Longer Than Normal!

Netflix has announced that the fifth and final season of “Lucifer” will include an extra 6 hours – meaning it will be a whopping 16-episode season rather than the usual 10. Netflix picked up the Warner Bros. series for a fourth season, which was released on May 8th this year, after being dropped by Fox after three seasons.  Co-showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich said: “We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms. Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!” (TV Line). The series stars Tom Ellis as the titular fallen angel and the Lord of Hell, who works with the LAPD to take down Earth’s criminals.

  1. I dont want just 16 episodes, a decent reason they cancelled it would be better, why end a show that they “saved” where is the #savelucifer now??? Especially as a lot of the shows they have on netflix are repeats of shows that ended on terrestrial TV years and years ago. Why are they cancelling all their very good Netflix original shows??? One peeved netflix customer here!
