First Look at 3rd and Final Season of “A Series of Unfortunate Events”

A Series of Unfortunate Events“, the Netflix Original series based on Lemony Snicket’s series of books, was released in January 2017, season 2 is arrived on 30th March and season 3, the final season, is currently in production. Season 1 covered books 1-4 across 8 episodes, season 2 covered books 5-9 across 10 episodes and season 3 will cover the final 4 books of the 13-book series across 7 episodes. It will likely air some time in 2019 and, thanks to Entertainment Weekly (and Netflix) we now have some images from the upcoming series.

Season 3 follows the Baudelaire orphans as they continue to evade the villainous Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) while digging deeper in the mysterious secret organization that has been part of their lives since the beginning. While some fans may have been disappointed by “The End”’s open-ended conclusion in the books, Sonnenfeld assures EW that he, the writers, and author Daniel Handler worked together to craft an ending that remained true to the final book but also expanded on it.
