First Look at Upcoming Netflix Releases Including: The Sandman, Vikings: Valhalla, Bridgerton, Cowboy BeBop and More!

Netflix has released a number of first look teaser videos for many of their upcoming shows and films and we’ve pooled them together into one post just for you. The clips were all included in their online “TUDUM” fan event yesterday that included various interviews with the stars and creators of lots of Netflix Originals.

The Sandman

The Lord of Dreams has been summoned, and captured, by mortal men. Once free from his captivity, this eternal ruler of Dreams will realize that his troubles are only just beginning.

The Sandman is a Netflix series based on the groundbreaking comic book series created for DC by Neil Gaiman. The series is Executive Produced by Neil Gaiman, Allan Heinberg, & David S. Goyer.

Jeen-Yuhs is an intimate documentary about Kanye West filmed over two decades. The film will showcase both his formative days trying to break through and his life today as a global brand and artist. The clip below shows a young West rapping his “The College Dropout” track “Two Words” alongside Mos Def back in 2002.

Through My Window

Bridgerton: Season 2

Bridgerton was a huge hit for Netflix and is a romantic, scandalous, and quick-witted series that celebrates the timelessness of enduring friendships, families finding their way, and the search for a love that conquers all. The Ton returns for yet another scandalous social season. Your first look at Bridgerton Season 2, from Shondaland. Coming in 2022. The show has already been renewed for a 3rd and 4th season and you can see an exclusive clip below.

Vikings: Valhalla

The History Channel’s “Vikings” series had an incredibly popular run and now the team behind the hit show are bringing a sequel series to Netflix. The new series is set 100 years after the original series and will tell the stories of the most famous Vikings who ever lived – Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Harada and the Norman King William the Conqueror (also a Viking descendant). The show will arrive in 2022 and you can see a first look clip below. It is believed that Netflix will also be getting the rights to stream the original series but the exact dates will depend on existing licenses – in the UK and USA it is currently available on Prime Video.

Cowboy Bebop

Based on the beloved anime series COWBOY BEBOP is an action-packed space Western about three bounty hunters, aka “cowboys,” all trying to outrun the past. As different as they are deadly, Spike Spiegel (John Cho), Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir), and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda) form a scrappy, snarky crew ready to hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals — for the right price. But they can only kick and quip their way out of so many scuffles before their pasts finally catch up with them. The series arrives on November 19th and you can see the opening credits below.

Colin in Black & White

From co-creators Ava DuVernay and Colin Kaepernick comes Colin in Black & White, a bold new limited series that chronicles Kaepernick’s coming of age story, tackling the obstacles of race, class and culture as the Black adopted child of a white family. Colin in Black & White stars Jaden Michael as Young Colin before reaching the highest levels of American football as an NFL quarterback and becoming a cultural icon and activist; Nick Offerman and Mary-Louise Parker as his well-meaning parents Rick and Teresa; and Colin Kaepernick himself, who appears as the present-day narrator of his own story, guiding viewers through a robust and colorfully presented array of historical and contemporary contextual moments. You don’t know Kaepernick until you know Colin. The series arrives October 29th and you can see a first look clip below.

Don’t Look Up

Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio star in a brand new comedy film “Don’t Look Up” which arrives on December 24th after a limited theatrical run. The pair star as two low-level astronomers, who make an astounding discovery of a comet orbiting within the solar system. The problem — it’s on a direct collision course with Earth. The other problem? No one really seems to care. Turns out warning mankind about a planet-killer the size of Mount Everest is an inconvenient fact to navigate. You can see an exclusive clip below.
