Another week has passed and, in case you missed our social media feeds, we’re here to give you the run down on this week’s additions just in time for your weekend binge sessions. Here we will give you our top picks as well as a full list of everything added to the streaming service in the last week. So here are our top picks from this week’s additions on Netflix UK:
It’s been quiet this week but we have a few great additions to tell you about. First up we have the brand new Michael Bay film 6 Underground starring Ryan Reynolds. The action-packed film follows a tech billionaire who, after faking his death, recruits a team of international operatives – who are also ‘off the grid’ – for a bold and bloody mission to take down a brutal dictator. The fourth film from horror series Insidious has been added this week with Insidious: The Last Key. In the film the psychic Elise Rainier returns to her childhood home in New Mexico to face her demons. All four films are on Netflix UK.
Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder star in the romcom Destination Wedding as two misanthropic, motormouthed singles meet en route to a wedding in California wine country that neither wants to attend. Crime drama Broken City, starring Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe, has returned to Netflix this week and tells the story of a private detective looking into the Mayor of New York’s wife as her secret lover turns up dead.
For documentaries this week we have the return of the excellent Blackfish which looks into the treatment of orcas (killer whales) in captivity around the world. Hail Satan? is a documentary about The Satanic Temple, a provocative group whose crusade for religious freedom includes challenging corruption and having a devilish sense of humour.
For comedy there is the new Christmas show: Jack Whitehall: Christmas with My Father which features various special guests. Michelle Wolf’s new Netflix Special Joke Show has also been added this week.
For TV shows this week we have the penultimate season of How to Get Away With Murder with season 5 of the show. The series follows Annalise Keating, a criminal defence attorney who gets involved in twisted murder cases. There is also the Christmas Special for Netflix Original series A Family Reunion Christmas.
