As we’ve entered an extended period of ‘lockdown’ due to Coronavirus Covid-19 you may be wondering what to watch on Netflix – well, wonder no longer! Here at New On Netflix we’ve put together a list of what we (with the help of our social media users) think are the best things that have been added to Netflix UK this week.

For films this week we have Crimson Peak the gothic romance about an American heiress who marries a penniless British aristocrat and moves into his mansion, before the sinister house begins to reveal its bloody secrets. In the Sci-Fi fantasy Code 8 a super-powered construction worker falls in with a group of criminals in order to raise the funds to help his ill mother. In the stand-up comedy Chris D’Elia: No Pain Chris D’Elia takes the stage in Minneapolis to offer his thoughts on everything from self-censorship to problematic dolphins to lame mutant powers. In the crime drama Earth and Blood a sawmill owner and his teenage daughter become tangled in a deadly feud when a drug dealer stashes stolen cocaine on their remote property.

For TV this week we have #blackAF a comedy series which sees Kenya Barris and his family navigate relationships, race and culture while grappling with their newfound success. In Outer Banks a group of teenagers from the wrong side of the tracks stumble upon a treasure map that unearths a long buried secret. In the reality TV series Too Hot to Handle ten young, hot singles from around the world come together in a tropical paradise for what they think will be the most exotic and erotic summer of their lives – but there’s a twist they’ll have to give up sex. The BBC drama Press is set in the world of newspapers – its past full of hacking scandals, its present at the mercy of the digital age and the 24 hour news cycle, where two British newspapers, one profitable tabloid trash, the other struggling for readers despite its integrity, clash in the modern media battleground. In Tjovitjo amidst poverty and struggle, a hardened pantsula dance leader enters a dark space and searches for redemption and salvation in his community.

For documentaries we have Fittest in Dubai where top athletes from around the globe test their fitness in a four-day competition at the first-ever CrossFit Sanctional event. The Innocence Files  follows The Innocence Project as it unravels missteps and deceit in a series of wrongful convictions, exposing the injustice inflicted on victims and the accused. Finally for documentaries this week we have Joel Mchale’s aftershow special episode of Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness filmed whilst all being quarantined Joel talks with Jeff, Saff, Erik and more to get their reaction s to the series and to their new found fame.

For kids TV this week we have Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures: Go Team Roberts which sees the Roberts family head to Costa Rica to investigate a mermaid legend, whilst Barbie takes on a summer job at a water park run by a devious boss. In Book 2 of The Last Kids on Earth we see a scrappy 13-year-old orphan team up with his friends in hopes of surviving the chaos when zombies and monsters invade his hometown. In LeapFrog: Phonics Farm Scout takes a magical trip to a farm where an alligator and other friendly critters teach him all about sounding out the letters of the alphabet.finally for kids TV we have LeapFrog: Numberland When Scout and his friends long to learn about numbers, their magical car, Axle, whisks them away to Numberland.
