As the Covid-19 ‘lockdown’ begins to ease, many of us may still not be returning to work or going back to school and may be wondering what to watch on Netflix – well, wonder no longer! Here at New On Netflix we’ve put together a list of what we (with the help of our social media users) think are the best things that have been added to Netflix UK this week.

The most popular films added to Netflix UK this week include Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga which sees aspiring musicians Lars and Sigrit given the opportunity to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition, they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for. In the Stand-up comedy Eric Andre: Legalize Everything Eric Andre takes the stage in New Orleans and tackles flawed fast-food icons, the wonders of autofill and the bizarre choice for the “Cops” theme song. In the Chilean drama Nobody Knows I’m Here former child singer, Memo lives on a remote Chilean sheep farm, hiding a beautiful singing voice from the outside world. A recluse with a glittery flair, he can’t stop dwelling on the past, but what will happen once someone finally listens? In the Hindi horror film Bulbbul a man returns home after years to find his brother’s child bride now grown up and abandoned, and his ancestral village plagued by mysterious deaths. Set five years after the events of Mamma Mia, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again sees Sophie prepare for the grand reopening of the Hotel Bella Donna as she learns more about her mother’s past. Finally for films this week and 6 months before Christmas we have the Christmas horror film Krampus which sees a young boy called Max gets disillusioned and turn his back on Christmas when his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays. Meanwhile, this lack of festive spirit unleashes the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family’s home and forcing them to fight for one another if they hope to survive.

For documentary fans this week we have Athlete A which focuses on the gymnasts who survived USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar’s abuse and the reporters who exposed USAG’s toxic culture. In Dolly Parton: Here I Am the life, career and music of Dolly Parton are reflected in interviews with friends and companions and the artist herself, interlaced with clips of Parton’s performances. The Docuseries Home Game profiles unique and dangerous traditional sports from around the world, as well as the communities and cultures where they thrive. Also added this week was a special episode of Lenox Hill which was filmed during the Covid-19 outbreak, and sees the doctors struggle to save the critically ill as the pandemic shuts down New York City.

For TV this week we have All For Love which sees a penniless country boy go in search of his runaway sister in Bogotá, where he falls for an aspiring singer, but gets tangled up in organised crime. In the Korean reality series Twogether stars Lee Seung-gi and Jasper Liu are paired together for an unforgettable trip across Asia, and they become buddies as they connect with fans and local cultures. In RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked! watch the fights, the secrets, and the shade! Go backstage with the contestants of “RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 12” and see what happens off the runway each episode. In the Korean romantic comedy It’s Okay to Not Be Okay An extraordinary road to emotional healing opens up for an antisocial children’s book writer and a selfless psych ward caretaker when they cross paths. In the anime Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma young chef Soma enters the prestigious Totsuki Culinary Academy, where he must emerge victorious in over-the-top cooking battles or face expulsion. Finally for TV this week we have 3 seasons of the horror anthology Slasher where rampaging serial killers leave carnage in their wake as their next victims fight to stay alive
