Full List of Everything Added to Netflix UK This Week (7th August 2020)

Another week has passed and, in case you missed our social media feeds, we’re here to give you the run down on this week’s additions just in time for your weekend binge sessions. Here we will give you our top picks as well as a full list of everything added to Netflix in the UK in the last week. So here are our top picks from this week’s additions on Netflix UK:

Well we’ve had the first of the month this week and with that came 56 new films added to Netflix UK including the incredibly popular The Peanut Butter Falcon – this film follows a man with Down syndrome who runs away to realize his wrestling dreams and sets out for adventure with a new friend in tow and a caregiver in pursuit. The Australian thriller The Nightingale which sees an imprisoned Irish woman team up with an Indigenous tracker in 19th-century Tasmania to exact revenge on a sadistic British lieutenant and his troops, quick warning that it is a bit gory and deals with sexual violence quite graphically too . In the psychological thriller The Call an abducted teen and a sympathetic 911 operator work together over the phone to stop a dangerous serial killer from striking again. In the science fiction action thriller Upgrade the world of Grey, a self-labeled technophobe, is turned upside down and his only hope for revenge is an experimental computer chip implant. In the biographical drama The Imitation Game the English mathematical genius Alan Turing tries to crack the German Enigma code with help from fellow mathematicians.

Other great film additions this week include the five films that make up the fantasy series of the Twilight saga. The end of the world science fiction Deep Impact and the comedy Tammy.

For TV series this week we have season 4 of the anime series The Seven Deadly Sins where a deposed Princess begins a quest to find a disbanded group of evil knights to help take back her realm. The final season of the Danish drama The Rain which is set six years after a rain-borne virus wipes out most of Scandinavia’s population, and sees two siblings join a band of young survivors seeking safety and answers. Also added this week were  Toradora! season 1, Spanish drama High Seas season 3 and season 5 of the British comedy Friday Night Dinner.

For reality TV fans we have season 3 of Selling Sunset where you can follow the elite real estate brokers at The Oppenheim Group selling the luxe life to affluent buyers in LA and navigate the complications of being colleagues, competitors and friends. In Don’t Tell the Bride with the help of friends and family the groom handles every aspect of the wedding planning without letting the bride know a single detail. EXTREME CAKEMAKERS sees an elite group of sugar craft specialists turn cakes into delicious, elaborate works of art. In EXTREME CHOCOLATE MAKERS chocolatiers from around the U.K. participate in cacao-based confectionary by conjuring up decadent creations on commission. Finally for reality TV this week we have Nailed It! Mexico and Sing On! Germany, and Meet the Parents.

If you’re a fan of documentaries then there are a few great additions this week in Anelka: Misunderstood famed French footballer Nicolas Anelka’s controversial legacy is explored. Nasha Natasha shows concert and behind-the-scenes footage as well as capturing life on tour for Uruguayan sensation Natalia Oreiro as she performs for packed crowds throughout Russia. Stars in the Sky: A Hunting Story follows a group of hunters as they grapple with the complexities, controversies, and contradictions of pursuing animals in the wild. In Connected science journalist Latif Nasser investigates the surprising and intricate ways in which we are connected to each other, the world and the universe. With unprecedented access to ICE operations, as well as moving portraits of immigrants, Immigration Nation takes a deep look at US immigration today. In Mystery Lab host Felipe Castanhari explores science, history, mysteries and marvels, uncovering mind-blowing facts with help from his lab buddies. Tiny Creatures is a dramatic nature series that explores the hidden worlds and epic survival stories of small animals across America. Finally for documentaries this week we have World’s Most Wanted which profiles the world’s most wanted criminals who are suspected of heinous crimes and who despite massive rewards and global investigations have still managed to evade capture.

For younger viewers and families we have the films  The Magic School Bus Rides Again Kids In Space which is an animated short film. In Pee-wee’s Big Adventure the childlike prankster Pee-wee Herman sets off on a whirlwind cross-country adventure to recover his beloved bicycle. Malibu Rescue: The Next Wave sees Team Flounder takes to the beach to host and unexpectedly compete in the International Beachmaster Competition. In Open Season a domesticated grizzly bear finds himself relocated to the wild and unprepared for the real world. In Super Monsters: The New Class a new class of pint-sized preschoolers arrive at Pitchfork Pines, and the Super Monsters take their superpowers to the next level the Purple Room. In A Toot-Toot Cory Carson Summer Camp Cory is going to spend the summer at Camp Friendship with his best friend, Freddie. But jealousy flares when Freddie brings his cousin Rosie along for the ride. Finally for family films we have The Mask where a hapless bank teller discovers an ancient mask that turns him into a zany prankster who acts on his deepest desires.

For family TV viewing we have season 2 of The New Legends of Monkey, season 6 of The Next Step, children’s medical show Operation Ouch! and a new fantasy animation Wizards: Tales of Arcadia.
