Here’s the Latest on the “One Piece” Live Action Series for Netflix

It’s been a looooong time coming but we have a small update on the “One Piece” live action series that is being developed at Netflix. We now know that the script for Season 1, Episode 1 is complete (there are probably more to be honest) as well as having our first look at the logo for the series.

The team behind the series posted a photo of the script on their Twitter account which you can see below along with the new logo. Episode 1 is titled “Romance Dawn”

The 10-episode series is based on the popular Manga series “One Piece”created by Eiichiro Oda will be overseen by Oda himself and written by Steven Maeda (“Lost”, “The X-Files”). Maeda will also be showrunner and executive producer alongside Matt Owens (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, “Luke Cage”) who will act as writer/executive producer.

“One Piece” is a pirate adventure following Monkey D. Luffy as he searches the high seas for the legendary One Piece artefact and claim himself King of the Pirates. The show has been in development since 2017 but has now officially been announced as being a Netflix co-production.  It will join “Cowboy BeBop” as another live-action anime series.
