Netflix has just announced the release date for season 2 of their thriller series “Locke & Key” as well as releasing a short teaser trailer. The horror/thriller series is based on the IDW comic book series of the same name and premiered in February last year. Season 2 will arrive October 22nd and promises “more keys, more demons, more aloha”. The show has already been renewed for a third season and follows 3 siblings who, after the murder of their father, move to their ancestral home only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities.
After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death. As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them.
The Locke siblings are played by Connor Jessup (“American Crime”) as Tyler Locke and British actress Emilia Jones (“Utopia”) as Kinsey Locke and Jackson Robert Scott (“It”), who plays their younger brother Bode Locke. Other cast includes Darby Stanchfield (“Scandal”), Bill Heck (“The Ballad of Buster Scruggs”), Griffin Gluck (“American Vandal”) and more.
