If You Want to Sue Netflix, Go Ahead – It’s Easy!

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the founder of easyJet, is taking legal action against Netflix for using the word “Easy”. The billionaire businessman claims that Netflix’s show “Easy” breaches his company’s European trademarks. He even goes so far as claiming he owns the trademark to the word itself: “We own the European trademark in the word easy … and we can’t allow people to use it now as a brand name”.

The Netflix Original show first launched back in 2016 and it’s 3rd and final season will be released in 2019. Netflix stated that “viewers can tell the difference between a show they watch and a plane they fly in”.

I’m genuinely intrigued as to how this will turn out!
