Kenya Barris’ “#blackAF” Comedy Series Cancelled at Netflix After Initial Renewal

After initially being renewed last year, Netflix has reversed the decision and will no longer be moving forward with Season 2 of comedy show “#blackAF”. The single-camera comedy series stars “Black-Ish” creator Kenya Barris alongside Rashida Jones and followed the often-hilarious struggles of a ‘new money’ black family trying to get it right. Barris had an overall deal with Netflix under his Khalabo Ink Society but he exited this late last year to set up a new venture with ViacomCBS. We assume this is the main reason for the reversal!
