Frank Castle, AKA ‘The Punisher’ (Jon Bernthal) played a large part in last year’s Daredevil season 2 and it wasn’t long after that Netflix and Marvel announced he would be getting his own series. Over the last couple of days cast member Jason R. Moore (who plays Castle’s ex brother-in-arms Curtis Hoyle) has teased both a rough release schedule as well as a basic poster for the series.
In an Instagram post and associated tweet, which have since been deleted (props to ComicBookMovie.com for saving a copy), Moore posted this poster:
While it is very plain, you have to remember it is just a teaser poster with the expected ‘skull’ logo of The Punisher. But it’s some official artwork at least and shows that, hopefully soon, we will see some more detailed posters as well. As for an official release date? Well, there’s still no date but we do have confirmation of what most people have expected anyway…
In a separate post on Instagram he says:
That’s right … #thepunisher is coming in the fall. I can’t wait to see #frankcastle punish some bad guys.
So, as expected, “The Punisher” will arrive in Fall (Autumn) after “The Defenders” arrives on Netflix in August.

This should be great!
Not sure if I will watch. Found his character underwhelming.
